Bait Or Weight System (BOWS) Fishing Sinker
We designed the BOWS (Bait Or Weight Sinker) patented sinker system to give the fisherman as many unique sinker options as possible without cluttering the tackle box. The modules are molded with our patented dovetail construction. This feature attaches the top and bottom modules as the basic unit. When more weight is required, inner modules can be inserted between the top and bottom ones. The system is designed to allow as many inner modules as needed to be inserted. Each module cavity is designed to hold 2 standard .75 ounce lead egg weights, but anything can be used as long as it fits into the closed cavity. For example, 2 standard .50 ounce steel egg weights, sand, penny weights, etc. The top or inner module can also be converted to a bait module by piercing holes through the module and then inserting some type of fish attractor. For example, you could insert a fish oil pill in each inner cavity, close the sinker and then pierce the pills through the holes to allow it to leach into the surrounding water once cast. An anchoring wire is available for the bottom module than can be used to help keep the sinker from shifting in rough water. The wire is locked into position before casting and remains in that position until the line is set hard enough to disengage the wire past the molded holding tabs.

The stainless steel anchoring wire is designed for the bottom module and its locking tabs. The wire is placed in the through holes molded into the module. Once the sinker is closed, the wire can be moved into the locked position. Once cast and the wired sinker settles into the sand, it gives additional holding tension. When the line is set hard enough, the wire will disengage past the locking tabs and resistance will be reduced.
